PODCAST GUEST FAQS

We are NOT podcast bookers. We are a Podcast Interview Marketing (PIM) agency. PIM is using targeted podcast interviews as a systematic business development strategy to drive client attraction, build lasting authority, and create business assets that continue working long after the recording ends. Every interview is treated as a precision instrument in your business development strategy, designed from the beginning to reach aligned audiences, reinforce your positioning, and generate compounding returns. The problem is that booking interviews without a system behind them rarely produces those outcomes. Appearances happen, conversations are good, and then nothing compounds. Getting on a podcast is easy. Getting on the right podcast, with the right preparation, connected to a system that turns listeners into clients, is what Interview Valet does. We go more in-depth on What We Do here. The short version: Podcast Interview Marketing is not podcast guesting.

Your expertise is the asset. Everything surrounding the deployment of that expertise is operational infrastructure. That is what Interview Valet builds and manages on your behalf.

Interview Valet manages:

  • Podcast research and audience alignment using the Perfect Podcast Algorithm
  • Host relationship management and introduction strategy
  • Booking coordination and scheduling logistics
  • Certified Guest™ preparation and interview coaching
  • Post-episode promotion and content repurposing strategy
  • Ongoing campaign optimization based on results

You focus on:

  • Delivering the conversation your audience needs
  • Showing up prepared and on time
  • Continuing the work only you can do

You are the guest, we take care of the rest” is not a tagline. It encompasses how our service works. Your role is performance. Ours is everything else.

Years of data and thousands of campaigns have shown us something most agencies will not admit: podcast interview marketing does not work equally well for every industry or business model.

Instead, we focus on those who podcast guesting has shown to have the best results and impact.

They are thought leaders looking to escape the sea of sameness and establish themselves as THE category of one.

Our system is designed to serve:

  • Brands
  • Category Designers
  • Coaches & Consultants
  • Non-Fiction Authors
  • Professional Service Firms

More specifically, our ideal clients are leaders in spaces like:

  • AI & Tech
  • Brand & Marketing
  • Faith & Spirituality
  • Health, Nutrition, & Fitness
  • Real Estate & Investments
  • TEDx Speakers

The most honest answer is that results depend significantly on how clearly your expertise, offer, and ideal client are defined before the first interview.

Clients who get the most from Interview Valet are thought leaders and consultants who have something meaningful to say and want to say it consistently to the right audiences.

When those conditions are in place, here is what strategic, consistent podcast interview marketing reliably creates:

Authority positioning that compounds over time. Each interview adds to a growing body of discoverable content that reinforces your expertise in your category.

Audience relationships with listeners who are predisposed to value your methodology before they ever contact you.

Lasting business assets. Unlike paid advertising that disappears when the budget stops, podcast appearances are permanent, searchable, and continue generating client attraction long after the recording date.

A strengthening client pipeline that builds rather than resets each quarter.

What podcast interview marketing does not do is produce overnight results. The thought leaders who see the strongest outcomes treat this as a strategic investment in their positioning, not a short-term campaign. That distinction matters, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have signed on.

Placement quality determines whether podcast interviews build a business or fill a calendar. The selection process begins with understanding what your ideal client looks like, which shows they already trust, and what kind of conversation would move that person from interested listener to qualified inquiry.

From there, Interview Valet applies the Perfect Podcast Algorithm, a proprietary selection methodology that evaluates:

  • Audience demographic fit: Are your ideal clients actually listening to this show?
  • Topical alignment: Does the host’s content create the right context for your expertise?
  • Show quality standards: We work with podcasts in the top 20% by downloads, with established show notes, backlinks, and consistent publishing history.
  • Brand alignment: You will be proud to be associated with every show we recommend.

Getting on a podcast is easy. Getting on the right podcast consistently is the work. We do that work so that every appearance produces real results.

Campaigns start at $1,500 per month for a 6-month commitment.

We are selective about who we work with. A limited client roster means your dedicated Success Strategist knows your brand, your business, and your goals at a level most agencies never reach. They are invested in your growth, not just your account.

We operate on quality over quantity. In our clients, and in every podcast appearance we secure.

Podcast interview marketing builds something permanent in your business. The timeline for that kind of business asset creation looks different from paid advertising or outbound campaigns, and understanding the phases helps calibrate expectations accurately.

Phase 1: Setup and first placements (Weeks 1-4) The Certified Guest™ Success Setup is completed in the first week. Introductions to ideal hosts typically follow within 10 days. Recording dates are then scheduled based on your availability and the host’s calendar.

Phase 2: First appearances and early signals (Months 1-3) Initial episodes air, authority content begins accumulating, and early inbound signals from aligned listeners start to emerge. The best podcasts, like the best restaurants, have a waiting list. That is a quality signal, not a delay.

Phase 3: Compounding momentum (Months 3-6 and beyond) Category positioning strengthens, content assets compound, and the client attraction pipeline begins to function systematically. This is where the investment produces its most significant returns.

Clients who approach this as a strategic positioning investment, rather than a short-term campaign, consistently see the strongest outcomes. We will tell you honestly if your timeline expectations and the nature of this strategy are not aligned before we begin.

This is why we do not work with clients for less than 6 months. If you’re shopping other agencies and they offer one-month campaigns, it should be an immediate red flag.

Campaigns are designed around your specific goals, and the structure reflects that. Some campaigns are built for a defined period, such as a book launch, a new podcast introduction, or a product release. Others are designed for ongoing authority building and client attraction over multiple quarters.

What we have found is that the thought leaders who see the strongest results give the strategy enough time to compound. Podcast interview marketing is not a one-time event. It is a system that builds. The clients who treat it that way experience outcomes that justify the continued investment.

We recommend a 6-month minimum commitment, which we break down in the question above, “How long before I start seeing results?”

PODCAST HOST FAQS

To start, we consider pitch to be a four-letter word. We don’t use it in our vocabulary. You pitch a baseball, you introduce a guest.

The difference between our Certified Guests™ and pitches from podcast bookers is like the difference between a referral from a trusted colleague and a cold solicitation from someone who found your email address.

Ours arrives with context, preparation, and accountability. It is intentional and hand-selected through our four-tier selection process.

The other arrives with a template.

You have built an audience that trusts you. Every guest you bring onto your show either reinforces or erodes that trust. We take that responsibility seriously.

Every guest Interview Valet represents has been evaluated for genuine expertise, a clear and defensible point of view, and the ability to deliver real value to a listener, not just promote their work. Before any introduction reaches you, the research, alignment assessment, and preparation work have been completed and verified.

The vetting work you would otherwise perform yourself has been done. The introduction you receive reflects that.

No. Everything we do for the podcast host is FREE.

Your editorial independence is a prerequisite for this relationship to work, not a courtesy extended to you. Working both sides of the microphone presents a conflict of interest that serves neither party.

We represent our clients, the guests, exclusively. Hosts benefit as a result of that standard, not in spite of it.

The client relationship is with the guest. That is where the commercial relationship sits, and we do not obscure that.

What that means in practice is that our placement decisions are made based on genuine audience fit, not on which guest paid more or pushed harder. A placement that does not serve your audience does not serve our client either. The incentives are aligned.

We never charge hosts, accept fees from hosts, or represent host interests in a way that would compromise our clients. Our clients’ best interests are always the governing standard. Hosts benefit when that standard is maintained.

No vetting system eliminates uncertainty entirely. But our process largely eliminates the information gap.

Before any introduction reaches you, Interview Valet has completed:

  • Topical alignment documentation: A clear mapping of the guest’s expertise to your show’s content and audience interests
  • Audience demographic fit assessment: Verification that your listeners match the guest’s ideal audience profile
  • Guest preparation confirmation: Evidence that the guest has prepared specifically for your show, not a generic interview
  • Communication protocol: A clear process for flagging concerns before the recording date

You also retain full control at every stage. No booking is confirmed without your agreement, and you can decline any guest at any point without explanation.

The goal is to make every conversation you have with an Interview Valet guest feel like a referral from someone who knows your show well, because that is exactly what it is.

If your established podcast fits into our primary client verticals, we would like to learn more about your show, your audience, and the kinds of guests who create the best conversations for your listeners.

Our clients are:

  • Brands
  • Category Designers
  • Coaches & Consultants
  • Non-Fiction Authors
  • Professional Service Firms

More specifically, they are:

  • AI & Tech
  • Brand & Marketing
  • Faith & Spirituality
  • Health, Nutrition, & Fitness
  • Real Estate & Investments
  • TEDx Speakers

You can share your show details using the form linked here. A member of the team will respond promptly to discuss fit and next steps.

There is no extended qualification process. If your show is accepting guests and the audience alignment is there, the path to working together is straightforward.

AGENCY & AFFILIATE PARTNER FAQS

The short answer is complementary.

The fuller answer requires understanding what Interview Valet actually does and what it does not do, because the distinction matters for how you think about which clients are right for a referral.

Interview Valet operates in a distinct capability lane: expert-level podcast relationship management, systematic guest preparation, and strategic placement methodology built on deep media relationships developed over more than a decade.

This is not a service most agencies staff directly, and it is not a service that competes with brand strategy, content marketing, paid media, or the broader agency relationship.

What Interview Valet does not do is develop brand strategy, manage social media, run advertising campaigns, or position itself as a full-service marketing partner. Podcast Interview Marketing is our zone of genius. It is all we do.

The result is a specialist partner who extends your capability without threatening your position. Your clients remain your clients. We provide a service they need that you are not currently offering.

A strong Interview Valet referral starts with a client who has genuine expertise and a clear offer. Not someone who is still figuring out what they are known for.

The qualifying profile that creates a reliable client experience:

  • Established expertise: A clear point of view, a defined methodology, or a body of work that gives them something meaningful to say in a conversation
  • Offer clarity: A product, service, or program that benefits from authority positioning and audience trust
  • Business model alignment: A model where being heard by the right audiences directly connects to client attraction
  • Strategic patience: An understanding that authority-based positioning compounds over time rather than converting immediately
  • Professional readiness: Comfortable on camera or audio, or willing to develop that comfort through preparation

The clients who are not a strong fit are those seeking high-volume bookings without regard for strategic alignment, or those who are not yet clear on who their ideal client is. Referring a client who is not ready creates friction for everyone involved, and we would rather help you identify the right fit than place someone who will not see results.

Here is how the referral arrangement is structured. The goal is transparency first. If it works for your business model, the path forward is clear.

Interview Valet offers both affiliate referral agreements and subcontracting arrangements for agency partners. The specific structure, including referral fees, payment timing, and qualifying conditions, is discussed directly in a brief introductory conversation.

What we can confirm here: the terms are consistent, the process is straightforward, and the arrangement is designed to make referrals easy and the relationship sustainable over time. We recognize that referrals come from trust. Our partner terms reflect that.

Your client relationship is yours. How Interview Valet manages communication is built around protecting that, not creating a direct relationship that bypasses the trust you have established.

Before any client engagement begins, we align with you on communication protocols. The default approach is to work through the agency for strategic decisions and to communicate directly with the client only for operational logistics, such as scheduling and interview preparation, with the agency copied or informed as agreed.

We will never approach your clients directly to pitch additional services, expand the scope of the relationship, or communicate outside the agreed process. By design.

The relationship you have built with your client is the foundation of everything. We operate the same way you do. That relationship comes first.

This is a mutual partnership, and all good partnerships start with an honest conversation. You can schedule a free call here, where together we will assess fit, program mechanics, the client qualification profile, goals, and expectations.

We work with a select number of agency partners, and we are intentional about the relationships we build. If there is a genuine fit, we move forward. If there is not, we will tell you that directly.
